Privacy notice

This notice describes how Bot Ledger, a manual trade reconciliation service run by an individual in the UK, handles information. It describes intended handling in plain language. It is not a claim of legal or regulatory compliance for your situation.

This website

  • This site is static: no accounts, no forms, no uploads, no payments, no cookies, no analytics and no tracking.
  • It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP addresses) to serve and protect the site, under its own privacy policy.
  • The “Will my export work?” checker runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent or stored.

If you email an enquiry

  • Enquiries go to botledger.dev@gmail.com, a dedicated inbox used only for this service.
  • Your message passes through your email provider and Google’s systems, under their own policies.
  • Please send an enquiry first, with no attachments, until scope has been agreed.

If you take part in a trial

What is received: only what you choose to send. That means a redacted Freqtrade trades export (JSON), your stake currency, and optionally open-position prices or a closing balance. No API keys, passwords or account access, ever. A file containing credentials is refused until they are removed.

Where it is processed: on one local machine. The reconciliation tool makes no network calls. Your file is not put into version control, any public example, this website, or any AI or third-party service without your separate, explicit written permission for that specific file.

How long it is kept: copies under our control (your attachment, working files and the delivered report) are deleted within 14 days of receipt, or sooner on request, and deletion is confirmed to you. Email providers may keep their own copies on their own schedules, which is outside our control.

Publication: your data, results or any testimonial are never published or used as an example without your separate written permission naming what may be shared and in what form.

Your choices

You can ask for your file and report to be deleted at any time, or ask what is held about you, by emailing botledger.dev@gmail.com.

Limits

A Bot Ledger report reconciles the file you provide. It is not an audit, certification or guarantee, and not investment or tax advice. Using local files reduces exposure, but it is not a guarantee of absolute privacy.
